Lets begin from  the newbuilds front. COSCO ordered 14 tankers, four products  and three suezmaxes in dalian, two panamaxes at CSSC and also acquired 50 pct stake in four LNG’s owned by MOL destined for the Yamal project!

Thenamaris ordered two option two afras at sumitomo for abt $43 mill each (tier III). Zodiac finalized orders for five 11,000 teu ships at Hyundai costing abt $90 mill each and scubber fitted while Zhongu shipping ordered six 1900 teu containers at jinling and they also have on order four 2500 teu vessels at the same yard. The same yard won an order from Qingdao da tong for one kamsarmax, his fourth order at this yard while tomini went to Taizhou for three kamsarmaxes after ordering three ultramaxes in Jiangsu! Fredriksen went to new times for two option two newcastlemaxes costing $44,5 mill while 2020 bulkers ordered exactly the same ships at the same yard! W marine and aquavita have each contracted one kamsarmax at Taizhou and each hold one option  while yangzijiang released four kamsarmax berths for 2019 and were quickly snapped by reuben bros (2), ocean longevity (2) and 2 more to laliotis! Total orders thus far for kamsarmaxes over 110 ships! Yasa agreed with NACKS to build four ultramaxes for $24,5 mill each.

Lets move on with the 2^nd hand dry sales.  Zodiac paid $47 mill to acquire enbloc the ‘alexandria VII / Rhodes VI’ both 177,000 dwt built 09/10 china. APJ paid $11,5 mill for the ‘pugnani’ 76,000 dwt built 04 japan, thai Thoresen paid $15,2 mill for the ‘spring eagle’ 58,000 dwt built 10 philippines 4x30 while the ‘hai kuo’ 50,000 dwt built 04 china 4x30 got $8,5 mill at auction. The ‘ermis’ 52,000 dwt built 04 japan 4x30 got $10,8 mill, tufton paid $9 mill for the ‘kittiwake’ 32,000 dwt built 07 japan 4x30,5 and the ‘olympia IV’ 32,000 dwt built 08 japan fetched $10 mill. The ‘nord venture’ 82,000 dwt built 09 japan got $18,25 mill, scorpio paid $90 mill to acquire enbloc the ‘tiger Tianjin / tiger /anhui / shanghai/tbn’ all ultramaxes built 14/14/15 4x30 china plus one Chinese kamsarmax ex yard mid 18. The ‘leo advance’ 55,000 dwt built 07 japan 4x30 got $12,7 mill  , the ‘new era’ 53,000 dwt built 03 japan 4x30,5 got $9,7 mill from akji and the ‘orient acrux’ 32,000 dwt built 13 japan 4x30,5 got $13,5 mill. The ‘archigetis’ 81,000 dwt built 11 korea got $20,7 mill, the ‘clipper nestorio’ 32,000 dwt built 11 china 4x30 got $10 mill  and the ‘global vanguard’ 52,000 dwt built 08 japan 4x30 got $10,6 mill from wilhemsen.  The ‘caroline victory’ 58,000 dwt built 08 philippines 4x30 got $13,5 mill while the ‘karagaac’ 53,000 dwt built 07 china 4x30 got $10 mill.

Lets finish off with the tanker sales.  Ridgebury paid $67 mill to acquire enbloc the ‘dht utah / utik / eagle’ all 300,000 dwt built 01/01/02 korea respectively. Ridgebury also bought the ‘artois’ 300,000 dwt built 01 japan for $22 mill. A suezmax resale ex yard sws this month fetched $49,7 mill from polembros, the ‘singapore voyager’ 105,000 dwt built 03 japan got $10,5 mill from spring marine while the ‘FSL tokyo’ 20,000 dwt built 06 japan stainless got $14,5 mill.  Pallonji paid $22 mill for the ‘caletta’ 51,000 dwt built 11 korea while waruna paid $7 mill for the ‘torm rhone’ 35,000 dwt built 00 korea.
