 Lets begin our analysis from the newbuilding front. Unfortunately the ordering of MR’s continues in full force and shell is reported to have chartered 16 MR newbuilds ordered by oman shipping and tristar at Hyundai mipo! After these latest orders SHELL controls 50 MR newbuilds!!! Maersk ordered four option two MR’s at sungdong costing $35 mill each while celcius shipping ordered three 24,000 dwt stainless chem. tankers at Nantong mingde. Navig8 in JV with oaktree have ordered six 37,000 dwt imo II products for abt $37 mill each and petronas has agreed with Hyundai to build four option four 150,000 cbm moss type LNG’s for $212 mill each!

China navigation has agreed with ouhua yard to build four 39,000 dwt handies and after this order this owner has 20 handies on order of which sixteen are at chenxi yard!santoku shipping went to tsuneishi zhoushan for three kamsarmaxes costing $30 mill each and are destined for long TC to swiss marine. Zhejiang herun agreed with SWS to build four option four capes for $54 mill apiece while nisshin went to Jiangsu hantong for five kamsarmaxes! Wisdom ordered a single supramax at Kawasaki for $27 mill and two 37,000 dwt handies in imabari for $24 mill each while tomini went to Jiangsu for up to nine supramaxes costing abt $27 mill each! Hanjin has won orders from golden union (2 capes) ,ciner shipping (2 capes) and Poseidon one cape! Cost was $55 mill for each cape.

Taizhou kouan has won an order from grecomar for two supramaxes costing $26 mill each and last but not least hanjin subic won an order for a single 9000 teu container from CCNI costing $89 mill.

Lets move on with the dry 2^nd hand transactions. Greeks paid $20 mill for the ‘anastasia’ 92,000 dwt built 2012 korea while the ‘stx dynamic’ 81,000 dwt built 2012 korea 4x35 got $25 mill. The ‘AP konavle’ 80,000 dwt built 2014 china got $22,5 mill while the ‘hsin ho’ 71,000 dwt built 97 japan got $10 mill. The ‘jia ho’ 71,000 dwt built 97 japan got $10 mill from china spirit while Chinese also bought the bohai built sisters ‘chang hang hui / chang hang jiang hui / chang hang bo hai’ all 57,000 dwt built 12/10/09 respectively 4x30. Russians paid $10 mill for the ‘rabee’ 28,000 dwt built japan 98 4x30 while the ‘su-oh’ 171,000 dwt built 97 japan got $16,5 mill. Vista paid $20 mill to buy enbloc the ‘cape kestrel’ 161,000 dwt built 93 korea and the ‘grafton’ 122,000 dwt built 96 korea while the ‘jim pacific’ 82,000 dwt built 2013 china got $25 mill. Celcius paid $90 mill to buy enbloc the ‘global challenge / global peace / gbum eun / bum chin’ all 20,000 dwt stainless built japan 09/09/05/05 respectivelly while diamond S paid $54 mill enbloc to buy the ‘citrus / citron’ both  46,000 dwt built korea 08/07 respectively. Sinokor paid $42 mill for the ‘ardenne venture’ 318,000 dwt built 04 korea and $12 mill for the ‘champion peace’ 106,000 dwt built 99 japan coated. Last but not least bakri paid $21,5 mill for the stainless ‘sichem pace’ 20,000 dwt built 06 japan.
